 SLWC is governed by a Board of 5 members. This Board carries out the following governance functions:

• Establishes the strategy and direction for SLWC
• Provides line management for the Manager and the team
• Establishes annual budgets and output targets; monitoring these on a monthly basis
• Provides the finacial monitoring and signs of payments
• Ensures that all govering policies and procedures are in place

SLWC’s Manager represents the Centre at either committee member or director level on the following range of organisations:

• Neighbourhood Renewal Partnership Board
• Strabane Citizens Advice Bureau
• Suicide Community Response Team

This provides the Strabane and Lifford Women’s Centre with a District Wide network and scope to engage with potential partners which have a tract record of reaching ‘hard to get to/seldom heard’ vulnerable people across the District along with its own outstanding record of targeting and inclusion of groupings that usually would slip through the net.

Role/Part	Responsibilities
Board	The Board provides the governance mechanism for SLWC. Specifically it undertakes the following responsibilities: Setting the strategy and direction for SLWC Providing line management for the Centre Manager Implementing all policies in line with SLWCs constitution; especially those relating to equality, financial management and employment Monthly monitoring of performance against output targets, cost budgets and revenue projections Sign off cheques/payments (two signatures) Compliance with monitoring, evaluation and prior conditions specified in the letters of offer provided by funders
Centre Manager	Implementation of monthly and annual work plans as agreed with the Board Provision of line management for SLWC personnel Establishing partnerships with private, public or community/voluntary sector organizations where appropriate to advance SLWCs mission Appendix C contains Job Description for SLWCs Manager
Administrator	Maintenance of records and filing system Telephone answering Opening and date stamping post Maintenance of a computerized book keeping system Preparation of invoices and cheques Booking space an resources of implement training and programme delivery
Education Sub-Group	The Education Sub-Group takes on the following responsibilities: To agree an annual education programme based on consultation with service users and evaluation information gathered at education events To establish communication and or contractual relationships with potential partners, referral agents or programme delivery agents To support the Centre Manager to develop funding applications for the design and delivery of training and education programmes
Health Sub-Group	The Health Sub-group takes on the following responsibilities: To agree an annual health and wellbeing programme based on consultation with service users and evaluation gathered through health programmes To support the Centre Manager to develop partnerships with organizations which can support SLWC to deliver on its Health and wellbeing agenda To support the Centre Manager to submit funding applications to resource its Health and wellbeing Programme
Marketing Sub-Group	The Marketing Sub-group takes on the following responsibilities: To support the Centre Manager to develop a communications and marketing plan for SLWC To facilitate service users to engage with the Management Committee to confirm their needs and identify ways in which SLWC can continue to support them
Financial Sub-Group	The Financial Sub-group takes on the following responsibilities: To establish and agree an annual financial plan (cost budgets and revenue projections) with the Centre Manager To provide a monthly challenge mechanism for the Centre’s monthly management accounts To agree an appropriate annual fund raising strategy including submitting funding applications, charging for service delivery and community based fund raising
Tutors	SLWC Tutors take on the following responsibilities: To provide appropriate learning and education support services for centre users
Volunteers	Volunteers take on the following responsibilities: Act as Board members of SLWC Act as peer educators Act as mentors Create referral networks Undertake fundraising activities
Employment Support Coordinator	Under the direction of the manager the Employment Support Coordinator delivers employment support to the 4E’s participants
Emotional Support Coordinator	Under the direction of the manager the Emotional Support Coordinator provides emotional support to the 4E’s participants
Training Coordinator	Under the direction of the manager the Training Coordinator delivers traiing on a range of topics
