Spanish Visit

In October 2006 at the request of Cresco Derry we hosted a group of Spanish and Irish visitors who were participants on an EU Funded Training Project. The Spanish visitors in particular stated their disbelief that the women’s centre was not funded directly by government as is the case in their country. Local groups attended and delivered presentations on their organisations work and detailed their experiences of delivering services in a border area. The following groups attended:

• Koram Centre
• Strabane and District Women Together
• The North West Volunteer Centre
